Antique Ford

This antique is, I believe, a Ford from the late 30s - I'm guessing '36 or  '37. I'm hoping my friend at Taken for Granted will give us all the details. What an amazing mind he has!

Looks in better condition now than the day it rolled off the assembly line.

I am remembering a little ditty my mum used to sing:
A Ford, A Ford,
Four wheels beneath a board.
A biscuit tin
With an Engine in,
A Ford! A Ford!

He hasn't been here to enlighten us all. I'm guessing '39 or '40. It is very cool, Lowell!

Even older than I am.

That's one sweet ride! Has the hood been modified? It looks like it's got raised ridges. I've recently read some biographical history of Henry Ford. It seems that the man (more or less) succeeded in spite of himself.

Sweet! I'll bet it turns a lot of heads.

Looks like a 40 Ford to me. Many years ago we had one---to fix up but we didn't---sold it cuz we needed money

The 1939 and 1940 Fords looked much alike, but I believe this one is a 1939 model. The 1940 Ford had a bit more chrome on the front. Fine car. I have a friend who just finished a 1940 Ford pickup truck. Theoretically it was for his wife, but I have never seen her drive it.

I appreciate your comments about my ability to still be a Biker Chick yet, to be honest, I am more akin to this sweet car. Perhaps a Ford Fuddy-Duddy? or Ford Flossie?
