Santa at the Mall

At the Paddock Mall there is a special arena for Santa just outside of Macy's.  The first shot was taken about a week ago when Santa wasn't in residence.  As you can see, there's no one around.

The second and third photos were taken yesterday.  Santa had arrived and the kiddos with their parents lined up to see him. It was quite chaotic and very noisy with kids jumping around and yelling (or screaming) and their parents trying to talk over the din.

Macy's has set up a special Santa mailbox inside the entrance to the store. This is for folks who, for whatever reason, didn't get a chance to visit with Santa and present him with their lists.

At first I thought this was a trick - a where's Waldo...er...Santa? But now I see him! I guess I had better write my note to Santa pretty soon, right?

Quite a lineup!

For Christmas, I'd like to, oh... crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and hear the lamentations of their women.

What? No elves? Poor Santa's working unassisted! (The photography crew doesn't count!)
To answer your question about the Shire horses on my blog today: they are working horses and used for plowing (they were stopped in the middle of their work as I talked to the farmer in the third shot). They plow beautiful, straight rows and seem like solid, reliable workers.

That's quite the plush chair that Santa gets to sit in while talking to the kiddies. I saw sand at the Scottsdale Mall a week ago but, I didn't give him a list.

Good before and after shots. I wonder if Santa gets any phone numbers from ladies like I expect <a href="http://www.adweek.com/adfreak/toronto-malls-sexy-santa-so-hot-even-adults-want-sit-his-lap-168619:>this one might.</a>

Santa must have been so busy preparing presents because he sits comfortably on the sofa afterwards.

Thank you for all of your encouraging comments on my blog and your nice, sometimes humorous posts here on this blog. Wish you a heart-warming Christmas and a healthy, prosperous New Year.
